Local-first journal. AES-GCM-256 field-level encryption. Face ID lock. iCloud sync stays under your Apple ID, and Pressure Log iCloud sync is opt-in. Analytics and attribution are user-controllable and never include journal body, AI content, contacts, integration payloads, Crisis Mode, or free text. The Coach runs on Apple Foundation Models on-device for daily work; cloud inference is redacted and opt-in.
- Bounded analytics only. PostHog, Singular, Apple attribution, and consent-gated X Ads conversion tracking get approved event names and scalar tokens only.
- No advertising identifiers. No ATT prompt, no IDFA, and no app-level cross-app tracking.
- No account required. Email is used only if you opt into email features.
- No telemetry from Crisis Mode. Ever.

What devices does Dark Talent run on?
iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. It is a native Apple app — Dynamic Island, Lock Screen, Live Activities, widgets, the menu bar, Apple TV dashboard, spatial workspace, and the Action Button — not a web wrapper.
How is Lock-In different from a Pomodoro or focus timer?
A Pomodoro timer counts down intervals. Lock-In protects a single defined move. The screen becomes a black void, distractions get captured instead of chased, and the session ends with one thing shipped — not a tally of intervals.
Is my data private?
Yes. The journal is local-first with AES-GCM-256 field-level encryption and a Face ID lock. Product analytics and attribution are user-controllable and never include journal body, AI content, contacts, integration payloads, Crisis Mode, or free text. There are no advertising identifiers.
